Job Summary
The Customer Service Manager will provide customer service as well as financial, administrative, and clerical support to our Middletown location. The goal is to keep the department running in an efficient and profitable manner, and to meet company's expectations. The Customer Service Manager will also complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices, and highlight the day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities

  • Supervise operations in the customer service department.
  • Improve customer service experience, by creating effective customer service procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Take ownership of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Keep accurate records and document customer service actions and discussions.
  • Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities.
  • Develop customer satisfaction goals and coordinating with the team to meet them on a steady basis.
  • Maintain accurate records and documenting all customer service activities and discussions.
  • Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
  • Ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Understand expense accounts and cost centers, compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)

Requirements and skills:

  • Experience in providing customer service support
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and data entry
  • Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Ability to think strategically and to lead
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
