A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTOMER RELATIONS / SALES SOLUTION SPECIALIST
As a Customer Relations / Sales Solution Specialist, you're responsible for taking the lead in opportunity development, quotations, and negotiations for related service solutions. You identify business units and contract opportunities in your assigned region. Using your consulting skills, you determine suitable commercial models for customers ranging from transactional sales to outcome-based pricing. You drive our technology sales process while coordinating cross-disciplinary teams through process steps. By tracking your regional contracts portfolio, you analyze profitability, risk, and customer satisfaction.
Additionally, you maintain a working knowledge of alternative offerings through our market competitors. You lead concept architecture phases alongside other experts as well as oversee contract preparation, negotiation, and renewals. Working with our contract managers, you also provide support with periodic customer reviews. You contribute to the evolution and development of the framework of our global contracts as well as provide skill development to our local sales and execution teams. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CUSTOMER RELATIONS / SALES SOLUTION SPECIALIST
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, manufacturing, or engineering
- 8+ years of experience in a consultancy or sales role focused on long-term service contracts
- Experience in applying diverse assessment and analytical methods for root cause analysis, risks, and improvement
- Knowledge and understanding of customer value chain and their business drivers
- Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally
- Technical mindset, business acumen, and strong customer service and consulting skills
Basic experience in the manufacturing or process industry is preferred. A master's degree would be a plus, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
