About this Position:

This position is a critical member of the Customer Solutions and Success organization, which is responsible for supporting our global Sales & Market Development division in acquiring new customers and deploying our best-in-class connected vehicle and data analytics platform. Your work will consist of supporting Aptiv Connect Platform customers with engineering projects related to data collection, analysis, visualiation, and overall customer satisfaction and experience with Aptiv Connected Services product offerings.

Responsibilities and duties

• Research, analyze, and implement innovative data collection models and algorithms to collect and present vehicle data and insights which increase customer value.
• Review customer data, reports, and dashboards to verify correctness, completeness, fidelity, and value.
• Lead root cause and resolution of system malfunctions with engineers and other personnel. Provide technical information and procedures to the customer.
• Gather voice of the customer feedback and directly modify or specify new product components to ensure it meets customer design and performance requirements.
• Support product managers and product development engineers in creating requirements for product enhancements and offerings to meet customer needs.
• Conduct engineering tests that will analyze the design, operation, and performance of the Aptiv Connect Platform to ensure it meets user acceptance criteria.
• Maintain customer/supplier contact to ensure customer satisfaction and program success.
• Support customer training for Aptiv Connect Platform product and services.
• Establish and maintain customer/internal data creation standards.
• Develop engineering solutions within assigned project(s) scope and timing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline.
• Experience with vehicle systems and their interactions including propulsion systems, electric vehicles, and/or ADAS.
• Experience working with vehicle data, vehicle networks, diagnostic protocols, and the associated signal definition files such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet, dbc, ISO14229, or similar.
• Strong controls and systems background with experience in programming languages such as Python and/or Cython.
• Knowledge of product development tools including data acquisition, management, and analysis tools
• Knowledge of cloud services, data storage and analysis.
• Strong written and oral communication skills. This role interacts with both external customers and internal management.
• Strong problem analysis and solution skills in dealing with complex technical issues.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and/or data science.
• Ability to see the “big picture” and understand how individual tasks interconnect and impact other parts of the testing process.
