JOB TITLE: Culinary Academy
LOCATION: 300 Metro Center Blvd, Warwick, RI
HOURS: Jan 16 – Feb 22, 2023 July 10 – August 14th, 2023 3-800p Tuesday -Thursdays

• NRG Culinary Academy is a 6-week program that is scheduled for 3 days per week: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 3-8:00pm each day. The course covers food safety basics, sanitation, knife skills, cooking temps, cooking methods, knife cuts, mother sauces and derivatives, flavor profiles, butchery, shellfish handling, and a mystery basket cooking competition.

• This class is for individuals starting out in the field that could use additional training opportunities or those that are brand new and seeking career exploration. Each individual attending will be hired as a NRG employee and paid for the hours in class at $16/ hour.

• For those that fully participate and do well in the course the ideal outcome is to match up the individual with one of our restaurant units that is located near them. Restaurant units in Rhode Island are in Providence, Narragansett, Warwick, Cranston, Newport, Middletown, and Tiverton. * The training course will be held at our corporate office located at 300 Metro Center Blvd, Warwick, RI
