NAPA, the largest anesthesia provider in the country, is coming to San Antonio, TX. We have a great opportunity to work in the HCA Methodist Healthcare system. SURGICAL CENTER: Our surgeons use robot-assisted technology to perform general surgeries and complex procedures. Our staff is well-versed in various complex surgeries, including neurological, orthopedic and weight loss procedures.

CARDIOVASCULAR SERVICES: We offer a full range of cardiovascular treatments, including the latest open-heart surgery techniques. Our accredited cardiac catheterization lab has performed over 8,500 procedures. We have a renowned CTO/PCI program, and we are an accredited Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure Institute. We have earned the National Distinction of Excellence from the American College of Cardiology Heartcare Center.

EMERGENCY SERVICES: We had over 56,000 ER visits in 2021. We offer preadmission testing at our ER and at our free-standing emergency room at the Quarry in Alamo Heights.

SUZELL WALLER WOMEN’S PAVILION: Features seven antepartum beds, 16 labor-and delivery suites, 35 postpartum rooms and 16 Level III NICU beds. We have a dedicated entrance and OB emergency department. Our building is designated as a Level III Maternal and NICU facility.

Diverse case mix which includes general surgeries and complex procedures, OB, GYN, GI, IR, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, and robotic surgery. You will not be performing CV or pediatric cases.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
