Scope of Responsibilities:
Responsible for completing assigned work orders including job planning and assembling materials, equipment, and personnel necessary. Assures all equipment, vehicles, and tools assigned are kept in working order. Supervises assigned crewmembers in carrying out requirements of work orders.

If the designation is yes, the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act (AMMA) of 2016 will govern working conditions. If no, the AMMA will not apply to the position.
Uniform Required-YES
This position has been evaluated as to the mandated wearing of a company uniform during working hours.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receives work assignments from supervisor and reviews work steps with supervisor if necessary.
- Follows procedures for barricade plans and street-cut permits.
- Reports possible situations where work orders may need to be initiated based on observations.
- Maintains and accounts for all tool, equipment, and fleet used.
- Keeps all work sites neat and orderly, and cleans tools and equipment where necessary.
- Completes daily job reports. Assures proper receipts are attached for purchased materials.
- Operates equipment as required.
- Maintains a good driving record.
- Follows safety practices and guidelines at all times, including wearing proper personal protective/safety equipment.
- Follows established work procedures and practices.
- Assists in structuring preventive maintenance cleaning schedules in assigned area as required.
- Undertakes any reasonable request within capabilities that is good for the community and the Utility.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Four years of experience in sewer construction work/ sewer maintenance.
- Must have valid Arkansas commercial driver's license (Class A).
- Must obtain CDL tanker endorsement within 30 days of employment.
- Knowledge of sewer line construction, repair, cleaning, and/or rehabilitation.
- Knowledge of Windows-based computer applications, Hansen, and/or ARCmap a plus.
- Ability to follow and communicate through verbal, written, diagrammed and phone instructions.
- Ability to read map books.
- Ability to read and work from plans and blueprints.
- Ability to supervise a crew and evaluate performance.
- Ability to remove and replace manhole lids, climb in and out manholes, and work with tools and equipment.
- Must have home telephone or reliable telephone contact for call out situations.
- Ability to work in weather and terrain extremes.
- Ability to complete reports and forms.
- Ability to train crew personnel in job requirements.
- Ability to meet and maintain attendance requirements.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to maintain proper inventories on trucks.
- Ability to follow work schedules.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Ability to be available for on-call weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to communicate with customers and handle complaints.
- Ability to use a transit to shoot and figure grade as needed (C&R)
