Denver International Airport is currently seeking an Agency Trainer with a background in equipment training and learning plan development located within our Aviation Maintenance Division.

Denver International Airport (DEN) is looking for a Crew Lead to join the Field Maintenance Team at DEN. This position will be a working supervisor of a 10 to 14 crew member team involved in various maintenance/repair projects, cleaning, construction, and airfield snow removal. This position is a great promotional opportunity to further develop your supervisor and leadership skills within the dynamic Field Maintenance Team at DEN.
  • Supervises and works in a crew involved in airfield snow removal/maintenance repairs, construction and projects
  • Monitors and performs airfield snow removal operations
  • Schedules and assigns work for subordinate employees
  • Reviews work upon completion for adherence to guidelines and standards
  • Resolves problems encountered by employees during the course of the assignment
  • Implements and interprets policies and procedures developed by higher level managers or supervisors. Assists in developing, recommending and coordinating the implementation of new procedures for the assigned functions and/or unit
  • Implements safety standards and develops procedures to ensure compliance
  • Delegate’s responsibility and authority to subordinate staff
  • Prepares work records and reports
  • Assists in developing the performance evaluation program for functions managed within the unit, monitors and documents employee performance, provides ongoing feedback regarding levels of performance, and formally evaluates employees in relation to performance
  • Operates and maintains equipment for the assigned function
  • Trains employees in day-to-day procedures
About You
We are looking for candidates with some or all of the following experience/skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership, and team building skills
  • Experience as a member of a crew performing a wide variety of construction, maintenance, and repair work
  • Pervious supervisor experience

  • Education: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience as a member of a crew performing a wide variety of construction, maintenance, and repair work.
  • Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
  • Licenses: Valid Driver's License at the time of application. Agricultural Pest Control Certificate for application of restricted chemicals from the Colorado Department of Agriculture desired. A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL "B") with appropriate endorsements at the time of application. Requires a State of Colorado Flagging and Barricade Certificate. Completion of the Office of Human Resources' supervisory training courses prior to the end of the probationary period.
  • Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
