THE ROLE*
The Credit Analyst will play a pivotal role within the Black Rifle Coffee Company Finance team. Using quantitative methods to identify credit risk, develop and deliver credit strategies, and supervise credit performance for consumer credit portfolios to optimize profitable growth within risk appetite. Mitigate operational and compliance risks inherent in credit strategy. Tracks and monitors internal and external factors impacting credit strategy performance for bank portfolio products. This is a hands-on position that requires individual contribution as well as teamwork and management skills.
YOUR TASK
- Prepares preliminary credit analysis to aid in determining the viability of a potential credit opportunity, in accordance with established limits of authority matrix
- New Customer Setup by creating accurate contact and account information, pre-building relationships with contact, and credit issuance in accordance with creditworthiness
- Maintain accurate credit files, collection files, and customer accounts; Negotiate customer discrepancies and rectify disputes
- Credit and Collection Monitoring, ensuring recurring credit analysis and risk rating, updating trade and bank references, and payment trends
- Provide financial order management support to minimize credit exposure, effect timely payment, and minimize the risk of customer disputes utilizing tools available, i.e. lien process, progress billings, contract reviews
- Utilize root cause analysis to achieve continuous improvement in the overall order to cash cycle.
- Escalation Procedures, making contact and confirmations of payment, putting accounts on hold, sales and leadership intervention, and communication plan within BRCC
- Develop relationships with internal and external customers to provide customer service support and ensure prompt payment of receivables
- Confidently work with all the cross-functional departments including Account Receivables, FP&A, Treasury, Sales, Management, etc.
- Participate in major department projects and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives
- Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of commercial credit analysis experience or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Strong research, and investigation skills and demonstrated good judgment in problem solving
