ThriveDX is rapidly expanding in the EdTech market and looking to hire an emerging creative leader with a vision for transforming marketing insights into impactful campaigns and content that inspire students to reach toward a more fulfilling future. The Manager, Creative Copy possesses expert knowledge in messaging strategy and storytelling for the digital marketing landscape and has the creative artistry to bring it to life. This individual has the distinct ability to zoom in on the details without losing sight of the bigger picture.

This is a highly collaborative role required to build relationships and innovate alongside leaders in all facets of the Marketing organization. This individual will maintain a deep knowledge of ThriveDX programs, market trends, competitive offerings, customers and the customer journey and have the keen ability to translate them into a cohesive messaging strategy.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the ThriveDX copy team in the innovation and expansion into storytelling for full funnel marketing
  • Establish best practices, processes and efficiencies for strategic copy development
  • Exhibit leadership in the development of fresh, innovative concepts that support marketing strategies and deliver measurable impact
  • Guide the team through creative copy concepting, development and execution
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations on departmental capacity management initiatives by advising on copy team's bandwidth and assisting with prioritization of workload
  • Translate audience insights into actionable messaging and creative strategies, identifying areas of performance improvement, and collaborating with cross functional teams to improve the end-to-end customer journey experience.
  • Coach writers to interpret and analyze marketing strategy to execute exceptional creative copy
  • Perpetuate and inspire solution-focused thinking in pursuit of quality across all aspects of the work and the organization
  • Develop strong partnerships with other leaders in the Marketing organization to create a culture of performance, support staff retention and talent recruitment

Education and Experience

  • 8+ years of copywriting experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume marketing team. Agency experience is a plus.
  • 2+ years of staff management experience (staff management in a remote environment is preferred, but not required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Proficient in the creative communication development process and best practices for the digital marketing environment
  • Baseline knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and Wordpress
  • Familiarity with Jira (or similar), Figma and Miro preferred
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written; must exhibit strong fundamental grammar, spelling and punctuation skills with a sharp attention to detail
  • Portfolio or samples of past writing required

Hiring Process

  • The initial conversation will be a zoom interview with a member of our talent acquisition team for 30 minutes.
  • Followed up by a 30 minutes zoom interview with the hiring manager
  • A 45 minute zoom panel interview with peers within the team and other departments that collaborate with this role
  • A final zoom interview with another team member
