Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers, Inc. is looking for candidates with talent, professionalism and compassion. We are currently seeking Community Health Workers to improve health outcomes in Atlantic County, Burlington County and Salem County.

Summary: The Covid-19 Youth Coordinator is responsibly for Organizing ongoing trainings for Youth Ambassadors and ensure the most update information is shared on COVID-19 and the vaccination program. Share any materials or opportunities for continued learning in between trainings. Create shareable content for social media. Oversee the Youth Ambassadors and coordinate all applicable trainings. Recruit youth ambassador from local high schools. Prepare community information for Youth Ambassadors to share for target populations 5-18 years of age.

Hours: This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Position Responsibilities/Duties:

• Ability to work between Burlington, Gloucseter and Salem Counties
• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Youth Ambassador Program
• Guide the Youth Ambassadors, which includes directing specifics of the COVID-19 program. Communicate the daily plans
• Be knowledgeable in personal strengths and the strengths of Youth Ambassador in the program.
• Use strengths-based language and concepts within the daily program.
• Build one-on-one and small group relationships with Youth Ambassadors to nurture strengths and promote community engagement
• Plan monthly goals plans in keeping with program goals and objectives
• Create monthly program calendar, including daily schedule and special events.
• Plan and implement the Youth Ambassador orientation program
• Communicate with schools attended by youth to cultivate a positive relationship between the Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers and the community according to measurable goals and objectives outlined in the COVID-19 program

Other duties as assigned
Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication and/or Health (preferred) A minimum of 2+ years of experience working with youth (preferred) and/or community engagement
• Health/social services experience or education
• Must be willing to travel
• Travel reimbursement is offered/ reliable transportation to outside counties
• Must be available to work on weekend
• Must work as team and personable and represent SJFMC
• Must be able to lift and stand outside in different weather conditions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative approach to problem-solving
• Computer skills: EPIC experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Bilingual preferred
