Perform a variety of courier/delivery duties utilizing a motor vehicle to ensure the proper distribution of mail, materials, and supplies. Perform a variety of duties involving the processing, receiving and distributing of mail. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operate a company owned automobile to transport mail, supplies, equipment and other materials to designated facilities within the Phoenix Metro area
• Make deliveries to specific departments, offices or persons
• Loading and unloading cargo
• Pick up items from designated facilities for immediate, next day or future delivery
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality and seamless customer service
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• Bending and lifting more than 50 pounds to distances of 20 feet or more

Position Requirements:

Knowledge of:

• Principles and practices of safe motor vehicle operation and maintenance
• Traffic laws, ordinances, and rules involved in motor vehicle operation
• Geography of Maricopa County

Skills:

• Time management
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Minimum of one year of related experience required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency with Excel and e-mail
• Move heavy objects weighing more than 50 pounds to distances more than 20 feet
• Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements
• Learn job-related duties primarily through oral instruction and observation mainly in an on-the-job training setting
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
• Maintain confidentiality
• Work independently in the absence of supervision

Additional Requirements:

Individual must be physically capable of operating vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license, provide proof of insurance and have an acceptable driving record.
