LeMaitre Vascular, Inc., NASDAQ: LMAT, seeks a Cost Accountant for our financial operations team. We are a leading global provider of innovative medical devices for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease, with 700 employees and a market value in excess of $1.5 billion. We develop, manufacture and market disposable and implantable vascular devices to address the needs of vascular surgeons and interventionalists. Our diversified product portfolio consists of well-known brand name products used in arteries and veins outside of the heart. We manufacture our products in facilities in Burlington, MA, Fox River Grove, IL, and New Brunswick, NJ.

This position has full cost accounting and inventory control responsibility for the Company. Reporting to the Controller and interfacing with all levels of operations personnel, the Cost Accountant will manage the standard cost systems, monitor accurate inventory valuations, handle monthly closings, prepare monthly cost, inventory and gross margin reports and analyze cost data.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage standard cost system and perform monthly closing
• Calculate and analyze variances and reserves by product line
• Prepare monthly cost analysis reports and present to management
• Analyze consolidated cost of sales and inventory for quarterly audits
• Manage the annual physical inventory and monitor cycle counting processes
• Report on gross margin and inventory by product line, and other critical metrics
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory valuations
• Calculate and maintain excess and obsolete inventory reporting
• Partner with operations to solve problems, improve processes and work-flow
• Prepare consolidated annual manufacturing budget and development of standard costs
• Prepare transfer pricing analysis to support worldwide policies
• Provide guidance on cost accounting issues
• Coordinate inventory and cost analyses for Italian plant operations
• Assist with monthly consolidation process
• Assist with worldwide SOX compliance program

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science, preferably in Accounting
• 2-4 years related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a publicly traded and SOX compliant company preferred

Qualifications/Skills Preferred:

• High level skills in Excel including pivot tables and v-lookups, as well as experience with Great Plains Dynamics or Microsoft Dynamics, Crystal reports and Kronos

Pay: $110,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
