Summary:

This position will manage and proactively coordinate Recruiting efforts throughout the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate recruiting programs and strategies that will ensure ongoing success in attracting and retaining talented individuals.
  • Develop programs with local colleges and technical/trade schools, and high school Industrial Arts and STEM programs to ensure that Orizon is visible and active in Campus recruiting efforts, as well as formalizing appropriate internship programs.
  • Develop other strategies to ensure that Orizon has a regular pipeline of candidates for production level and entry level professional positions.
  • Proactively develop a pipeline for senior level and leadership positions.
  • Assess and manage prescreening tools and testing such as Thomas International, OutMatch, and position specific Skills Assessments.
  • Work with HRIS Manager and Corporate HR Manager to ensure that the company’s recruiting software (Ultipro) is properly configured so as to facilitate and enhance the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Will work with facility HR Managers and General Managers to provide coaching and necessary tools to aid them in their local recruiting activities. This may include coordinating employee referral programs, job ads, initial screening, and training supervisors on interviewing techniques.
  • The travel requirement for this position will mostly be regional within Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma and may range as high as 25-50% depending on the ongoing and evolving needs of the company.

Qualifications:

  • Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Strong preference given to a bachelor’s degree in human resources or business.
  • Strong preference given to Certification as a Human Resource Professional. (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CP, PHR)
  • Must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience in Recruiting and Talent Acquisition.
  • Strong preference given to experience working with an integrated HRIS and/or ERP system.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. International Traffic in Arms Regulations/Export Administration Regulations (ITAR/EAR) clearance may be required.
  • Must display a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong preference will be given to individuals with experience in manufacturing – especially within the aerospace industry.

Skills:

  • Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate good time management skills.

Work Environment and Job Functions:

The office is located in a manufacturing facility. As such, while the primary environment will be an office setting, the position will require frequent visits to the production floor where the follow conditions may apply:

  • May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 60 degrees.
  • May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • May be required to access elevated surfaces either by stairs or ladder.
  • Noise level in the work environment may require use of hearing protection.

This position will require an employee to perform the following functions effectively.

  • Effective use a computer keyboard
  • Effective use of telephone and other applicable electronic communication equipment
  • View and read spreadsheets, and other written documents, as well as computer monitors
  • Verbal communication with plant personnel and management
