Job Description:

Saab's Corporate Affairs team is seeking a communications student looking to grow their understanding of corporate affairs in a global company. This is a part-time (32-35 hours/week), paid co-op/internship position based in Saab's Syracuse, NY office for Spring 2023 (January – May).

In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to off-set housing expenses for Co-ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.

As a Corporate Affairs intern for Saab, you will:

• Gain experience supporting several functions including internal communications, branding, government affairs, social media, and employee engagement
• Generate, review and post content to multiple channels
• Create and maintain a digital media library
• Coordinate employee engagement events and activities
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Receive clear expectations, constructive feedback, and structured time commitment.

Skills and Experience:

• Enrollment in an accredited degree program focused in Communications, Public Relations, Business Communications or a related discipline.
• Completed Sophomore year or greater at time of hire.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better.
• Strong writing and editing skills, familiarity with AP style a plus.
• Social media, digital marketing experience.
• Basic photo and video editing experience.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Personable— comfortable meeting and interacting with new people.
• Proactive and organized with high attention to detail.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Pre-employment Screening Requirements:
