Job Description:
Build your resume and enhance your marketability with real-work, hands-on experience! Saab's Corporate Affairs team is seeking a communications student looking to grow their understanding of corporate affairs in a global company. This is a part-time (32-35 hours/week), paid co-op/internship position based in Saab's Syracuse, NY office for Spring 2023 (January – May).
In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to off-set housing expenses for Co-ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.
As a Corporate Affairs intern for Saab, you will:

Gain experience supporting several functions including internal communications, branding, government affairs, social media, and employee engagement

Generate, review and post content to multiple channels
-
Create and maintain a digital media library
-
Coordinate employee engagement events and activities
-
Complete special projects as assigned.

Receive clear expectations, constructive feedback, and structured time commitment.
Skills and Experience:

Enrollment in an accredited degree program focused in Communications, Public Relations, Business Communications or a related discipline.

Completed Sophomore year or greater at time of hire.

Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better.

Strong writing and editing skills, familiarity with AP style a plus.

Social media, digital marketing experience.

Basic photo and video editing experience.

Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Personable— comfortable meeting and interacting with new people.

Proactive and organized with high attention to detail.
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
Pre-employment Screening Requirements:
As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to meet the following criteria: (i) pass a drug screen and (ii) be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus (unless granted an accommodation permitted by law and then in compliance with Saab’s requirements related to the accommodation, if any).
