Twin Cities Community Hospital

Twin Cities Community Hospital, a 122-bed acute care hospital, has been caring for the communities of Northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. With a medical staff of more than 200 physicians and 400 caregivers and support staff, the hospital specializes in emergency care, obstetrics, orthopedics, digestive disorders, wound care and a broad array of medical, surgical and outpatient services. Twin Cities Community Hospital earned The Joint Commission�s Gold Seal of Approval� with distinction for its knee replacement program and was the first hospital in San Luis Obispo County to earn the LGBTQ Healthcare Equality �Leader� designation from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Position Summary:

Assists the peri-operative team with surgical aspects of patient care and surgical procedure set up including all housekeeping functions in the operating theater. Thoroughly inspects, cleans and sterilizes surgical suites safely and timely in accordance with aseptic technique. Responsible for care of the environment, transportation of patients, supplies and equipment, specimens and blood products to, from and within the surgical unit. The core technician will function as part of the surgical team by �picking� cases and helping to maintain the integrity of surgical equipment and instruments.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

Minimum 3 months Peri-operative experience.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

AHA/BLS/HCP Required.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Fluent in written and spoken English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Pay Range: $19.50 - $23.08
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee’s qualifications and experience.
