Essential Functions
Essential Functions: These include, but are not limited to:

Assists with the management of the student experience for students enrolled at the College of Pharmacy including student organizations, assisting with co-curricular activities, and professional development.

Advises students in matters related to goals, policies, choice of curriculum, course load, study habits, course scheduling, academic action and problem resolution.

Interprets University policies, procedures and curriculum to students, faculty and staff in support of Academic Programs.

Assists with student orientations and other events as needed to assist with the creation of a professional student experience within the College of Pharmacy.

Actively involved in professional development opportunities to support the activities of the College and the success of our students.

Develops contacts with departments and faculty within and outside of the College of Pharmacy to support the academic success of pre-pharmacy and professional students.

Participates in the admissions process of students to include, but not limited to, reviewing applications and recommending students for admission.

Supports, assists, and implements on-campus and off-campus events to include, but are not limited to, prospective student programs, accepted student programs, and counselor programs to ensure that the students have a quality student experience within the College of Pharmacy.

Assists with the recruitment of a robust and diverse population of students by attending college fair programs, visiting high schools, participating in campus recruitment activities, and/or other recruitment activities. Presents admissions information sessions, assist with calls and email communication, walk-in appointments, and hosts on and off-campus student meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, education, business, communications or related field.

2 years’ experience in advising and/or coordinating student services or experience related to the specific academic area.
