JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibilities of the Branch Coordinator are to perform clerical/administrative customer service, credit, and operations functions.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform clerical functions necessary to complete work in the areas of Customer Service, Credit, Marketing, Service, Dispatch, Distribution, and Warehouse.
  • Respond to customer questions, requests, and problems regarding:
    • Change-in-service.
    • Service calls.
    • Payment arrangements.
    • Collection and billing of deposits.
    • Customer account adjustments.
    • Service line and main extension contracts/deposits.
    • Information on area wide gas availability.
  • Assist with distribution paperwork.
  • Perform cashier duties; accept payments, perform cash entry and balancing.
  • Answer calls in the customer service phone queue.
  • Radio dispatch personnel.
  • Perform general office duties.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of customer service experience.
  • One year of administrative work experience.
  • Experience in utility industry preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Alaska Driver's License and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the ENSTAR's Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass a drug, background, past employment, and driving record screening.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with individuals within and outside of the company.
  • Ability to learn and understand ENSTAR's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ability to operate a computer, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn new software programs.
  • Possess:
    • Attention to detail.
    • Basic clerical/administrative skills.
    • Good customer service skills (in person and via phone).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced multi-task environment.
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Ability to work as a team and as an individual contributor.
  • Ability to type 40 wpm.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective interactions and communications with co-workers, customers and management.
  • Must maintain a safe environment for co-workers, customers and the public through adherence to established safety standards and timely reporting of potential hazards.
  • Must adhere to ENSTAR's policies and procedures related to the code of business ethics, compliance, responsible use of Company assets, and all applicable state and federal laws.
