NSR provides residential and intensive outpatient (IOP) co-occurring disorders treatment and mental health services.

NorthStar Regional is currently recruiting for a Full-time Cook for our Chaska & Shakopee locations. You would be responsible for making up to 3 meals a day for the clients. Positions Available:

1 - Full-time Friday-Sunday Buffet Style Cook ---Chaska, MN (3 meals a day for approximately 30 people)

1 - Full-time Monday - Thursday Buffet Style Cook ---Chaska, MN (3 meals a day for approximately 16 people)

1 - Full-time Friday-Sunday Buffet Style Cook ---Shakopee, MN (3 meals a day for approximately 48 people)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all served food
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
• Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in teams

Requirements:

• At least one year of freedom from substance use problems.
• Must be able to Pass Background Check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
We have put into place proper building entrance testing with temperature taking, masks are warn as needed. Vaccination not required but encouraged.
