Controls Engineer Job at Firestone Building Products
Overview:
Support controls system design and development for the controls systems in FSBP manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and document standards for controls systems
- Define scope and requirements for new controls projects
- Assess existing systems and prepare plans for improvements
- Troubleshoot controls related breakdowns and lead resolution activities
- Manage external contractors to ensure adequate on site support is in place and effective
- Ensure electrical schematics are maintained as changes are made
- Identify and document system vulnerabilities and craft mitigation action plans
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Five or greater years of controls engineering or related experience.
- Experience with PLC programming in an Allen Bradley environment
- History of working with a variety of drives, flow controllers, weighing systems, proximity sensors, position sensors, and similar field devices
- Strong knowledge of PLC networking, OT networking, Remote IO, etc
- Design and development experience for controls systems in a manufacturing environment
