Steele Hill Resorts, the primary property and corporate headquarters, comprises over 500 acres and 119 suites overlooking pristine lakes and mountains with a significant amenities package. SUMMARY OF POSITION

As a key member of the executive management team, the Controller will report directly to the owners and work closely with the executive management team. In this role, the Controller will be an advisor to and collaborator with the leadership team in providing critical insights to strategy. This position will be responsible for the coordination and management of a broad range of activities including Finance, Credit and Collections, Accounting and Payroll. The Controller will advise, monitor, and manage the key financial metrics for the company while identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Some specific responsibilities to include:

• Responsible for the preparation and financial analysis of monthly and annual internal financial statements.
• Responsible for the coordination and preparation of annual capital and financial budgets.
• Monitors daily cash balances and coordinates expenditures.
• Monitors and reports on key performance indicators at company and departmental operating levels.
• Reports on asset management results – Accounts Receivable.
• Manage cash flow, daily bank activity, intercompany activity and present weekly Funding Report to the owners.
• Participates in a leadership role in the planning processes, i.e., strategic planning and acquisitions.
• Establish and maintain banking relationships for the purpose of obtaining banking services such as lending, short term investments, and cash management.
• Prepare annual compliance packages of periodic bank reporting.
• Identify operational opportunities for process improvement, develop a plan for implementation.
• Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
• Coordinates business insurance coverage. Obtains premium quotes, monitors claims process, premium and loss history, and coordinates insurance audits.
• Oversees State of NH sales tax reporting.
• Coordinates and prepares financial information for the completion of the annual audits of the companies’ financial records.
• Review tax returns prepared by Tax CPA and reconcile to internal ledgers.
• Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES

• Ability to apply strong financial management and accounting skills
• Ability to strategically define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
• Experience/proficiency with QuickBooks- Enterprise Solutions
• Experience/proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite Programs
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with owners and staff
• Strong knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion is imperative

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor Degree in accounting or related field
• Eight to ten years Controller experience
