Job Information
The Controller is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Accounting, Payroll and Accounts Payable functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- General Ledger maintenance and preparation of financial statements and fixed asset maintenance.
- Provides oversight of the preparation of and analytical review of financial and statistical budgets.
- Assists with preparation for and management of processes for the hospital’s annual budget and all audits
- Facilitates reporting services for third party reimbursement and OSHPD Provides oversight of all budget reporting comparing actual results to budget standards.
- Completes analytical review and follow up with department heads regarding all material budget variances.
- All other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or equivalent experience, in a related field.
- Computer skills with Excel, Microsoft Word, mainframe accounting systems.
Minimum Experience Required
- One (1) year supervisory experience.
Experience Preferred
- 5+ years of Finance Management Experience in a health care environment is preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to collect and analyze data from internal and external sources relevant to each situation, 10 key skills, computer literate and proficient with Microsoft office products, ability to develop analytical tools, ability to maintain confidence.
