AgReserves, Inc. is seeking a highly effective Controller to oversee the finance and accounting functions for the assigned business unit. The Controller will analyze and provide operational management accurate and key financial information, to ensure internal controls are in place and functioning properly.

We are hiring for 2 vacancies - (1) Controller for the Lease Group (based at the Salt Lake City, UT office) and (1) Controller for the feedlot operations (based at the Satanta, KS, office).

Responsibilities:

• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records.
• Oversee finance and accounting functions to include journal entries, reconciliation, financial reporting and operating and capital budgets.
• Participate in month-end closing for multiple entities.
• Perform proper review to ensure that accounting records are accurate, complete and ledgers are closed in a timely manner.
• Analyze and provides operational management accurate and key financial information
• Ensure internal controls exist and are monitored and reviewed to adequately mitigate risk inherent in key processes.
• Work with field finance groups, corporate team, and other business units on accounting, reporting, and analysis projects.
• Lead finance and accounting staff and facilitate opportunities for professional development.
• Ensures Company policies are followed, and all transactions are in accordance with GAAP.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MAcc, MBA, CPA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years progressive professional accounting experience required with previous supervisory responsibilities; public accounting (audit) experience a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of and experience applying GAAP
• High competency with ERP accounting software, spreadsheets, databases, data extraction, and MS tools. Infor Lawson and/or Great Plains experience helpful.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with senior management.
• Travel approximately 10% between various office and/or field locations, with occasional international travel.
• Manufacturing/Agriculture industry background and Spanish and/or Portuguese language ability highly desired.
