Position Overview:
Invaio Sciences, Inc., is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated professional to focus on contract management and provide general legal support to Invaio’s legal team. The responsibilities of the Contracts Administrator & Paralegal role include, but are not limited to: being responsible for the administration and organization of all contracts, including maintaining relevant document databases through the entry of contract data, tracking agreement deadlines, sending reminders, and administering routine database activities; assisting in the review and drafting legal documents and templates; managing document templates and corporate legal records; and supporting the implementation of and auditing compliance with legal policies and procedures. In addition to excellent organizational skills, a successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be attentive to detail, and demonstrate the ability to exercise judgement, work independently and balance priorities. This role is hybrid-preferred, based out of either Invaio’s Cambridge, MA or Research Triangle Park, NC offices, but fully remote work will be considered for the right candidate.
Requirements:Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serve as a contracts administrator, inputting, managing, tracking, and performing audits of legal documents
- Assist in drafting of contract amendments, renewals, and terminations
- Review of contracts to ensure any deviations from standard templates receive proper approvals
- Monitor legal inbox, handling and triaging correspondence as needed
- Create, manage, and maintain legal department and company records
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of legal and compliance policies
- Assists with due diligence efforts and activities for business development, financing and other business transactions, in particular by maintaining virtual data rooms for such efforts
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
- Manage workflow of all contract stages
- Prepare contract briefs summarizing key requirements and track authorizations
- Provide general support to Invaio’s legal team
Qualifications (Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; paralegal certificate desirable
- 3+ years of experience as a contract manager or paralegal in a transactional legal environment
- Prior experience in a law firm or fast-paced corporate environment preferred
- Technologically savvy, with experience using contract management software and other database and project management tools preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
