The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking a Contract Community Health Advocate to work with our Division of Communicable Diseases. As a Contract Community Health Advocate, you will work to educate the community about the importance of STI testing and treatment as well as work directly with patients accessing STI services to identify and implement mitigation strategies to improve health outcomes. This position will assist with coordinating resources within the community for individuals, providing health intervention strategies, building community partnerships through targeted outreach, and providing direct education on the importance of testing and treatment. Our Contract Community Health Advocates are on the front-line of engaging the community to make our region a healthier place to live.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience, Education, and Training

  • At least two years of college or vocational education in a Public Health Discipline or related field;
AND
  • One year of related work experience;
  • Directly related work experience can be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Licensing/Certification
  • If operating a motor vehicle during the course of performing job duties, must possess a valid Driver's License, and provide required liability coverage.
