Job Description
Construction Project Manager
We are seeking a construction project manager to join our retail department. Construction projects range from new stores to remodels to expansions. Projects range from small repairs to full Tenant Fit-outs.
Responsibilities
  • Manage approved schedules to achieve all critical milestones with ability to adjust and update as needed
  • Manage stakeholders' (Store Design, Procurement, IT, Security, Merchandising, Ops), external consultants (architects, engineers, etc.), and general contractors and suppliers to achieve committed milestones
  • Coordinate and manage drawing sets and milestones from schematic and design development, and construction documents. Review dwgs and conduct page turns at milestones
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including bidding, negotiating contracts with architects, vendors, contractors and other workers, and oversee construction
  • Manage overall project budgets including change orders. Value engineer with Store Design if required
  • Maintain excellent relationships with contractors, consultants, designers and internal customers
  • Build to high quality and handover store to retail team 100% defect free. Handover of store to be coordinated with all stakeholders for a seamless transition from store planning to Retail
  • Review and negotiate work letters with landlord and conduct initial site reviews
  • Manage multiple projects while being innovative and creative in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Produce and deliver administrative and closeout documents including submittals, shop drawing review, final cost reconciliation, punch lists, warranties, manuals, and more
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of work experience in retail, commercial construction management.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in architecture, construction management or related field or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Candidates must able to influence others, lead others and create a team-oriented environment.
  • You must be able to manage multiple projects while being innovative and creative in challenging situations
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities
  • Strong analytic skills in evaluating existing conditions of potential store sites in order to produce preliminary budgets and store layouts
  • Ability to supervise and manage projects remotely
  • Travel as required to conduct site visits during the lifecycle of the project (20%)
