Junior Construction Project Manager/Estimator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our construction team as a Junior Construction Project Manager/Estimator. In this role, you will assist senior project managers & estimators in estimating project costs for various construction projects. You will be responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, analyzing data, and producing accurate cost estimates to help our team make informed decisions about bidding on construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Analyze project data, including labor costs, material costs, and equipment costs, to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain cost information and ensure timely delivery of bids.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for senior estimator review and approval.
- Provide ongoing support to senior estimators throughout the bidding process, including bid follow-up and tracking.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a better understanding of project requirements.
- Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines.
- Participate in project meetings as needed to provide cost-related input and feedback.
- Continuously update knowledge of construction industry trends and best practices to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
