Planning Coordinator

The HouseSmart Planning Coordinator position will assist with site checks and will communicate all necessary information back to the Hub Manager to help plan for the best and most effective team and scheduling when setting a home. This role will frequently be building and maintaining data regarding our customers and their properties to ensure our teams are prepared for the house set as much as possible. This role will also help support the Transportation team as a Transportation
Associate, when and as needed.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Go to various customer properties to assess land and land setup, planning the most successful and efficient route. Note and communicate back the following daily: o Most effective route to take with the home in tow, o General layout of the land and where home can be set, o Any potential issues or challenges for the site preparation and/or transportation teams, o All necessary equipment and machinery needed, o Any weather restrictions that the set or install crew may need to be aware of, o Ability to use or not use neighboring land or resources, o Feedback received from the Home Center or customer directly on specific wants.
  • Gather and maintain all customer information regarding the home set, communicating directly with the customer and potentially neighboring property owners to understand any specifications our teams should be aware of.
  • Store and maintain all customer information in an organized, ongoing database that can easily be shared with Project Management, District, Hub, or Field leadership quickly and easily.
  • Develop high-level game plans for the successful delivery and setup of each home, communicating frequently with Home Centers, customers, Project Management, and the Hub frequently through this process.
  • Partner with Hub leadership to develop timelines for house sets based upon the complexity of each individual project.
  • Other duties that will lead to the effective preparation for the home set and install, as assigned by leadership.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • High comfortability with manufactured home setting, identifying where issues could arise, how the job could best be completed, etc.
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral, with internal teams, customers, vendors, etc., always working to ensure clarity through respect and follow-up.
  • Problem solver, ensuring all projects are moving along, even when issues arise.
  • Very organized and deliberate in capturing and sharing information.
