Construction Administrator Job at Architectural Design Consultants
Commercial construction administrator to represent ADCI in the field and navigate client/contractor relationships (Wisconsin Dells)
Construction administrators are an indispensable part of the project team, representing ADCI and maintaining client relations throughout the construction process, managing contractor relationships, mitigating project issues and managing risks to the company. This position entails construction contract administration, including shop drawing review, field observation, reports and pay request reviews. A strong talent for problem-solving, negotiating and navigating relationships with both clients and contractors will set you apart.
- Responsible for observing and reporting on project performance and quality.
- Accumulates, evaluates and presents feedback related to construction documents.
- Conducts onsite observations and prepares reports.
- Represents AE and owner in meetings.
- Coordinates with AE to ensure project completion is in compliance with contract documents and State Code requirements.
- Reviews shop drawings, manuals and other project and post-construction submittals for approval and dispositions.
- Verifies construction contract change order information for approval by owner.
- Reviews contractor payment requests for preparation of Certificate of Payment.
- Maintains favorable working relations with client and contractor representatives.
- Prefer 2-10 years of building construction administration experience with progressively greater responsibility.
- Education in lieu of experience will be considered.
- Associate Degree or B.S in Architecture a plus.
- Must be willing to travel within the continental U.S.
- License not necessary.
