Borealis is a global company employing almost 7000 employees worldwide. Borealis NITRO is a member of Borealis group and specializes in the production and distribution of melamine, fertilizers and technical nitrogen sold to customers mainly in Europe.

We are looking for talents in various areas of business to help build an independent NITRO organization. At this moment, we are looking for an Expert in Consolidation and Financial Reporting (m/f) to support our organization development.

Location: Hungary (Budapest) or Austria (Linz or Vienna)

We need your expertise to:

• Prepare monthly the consolidated financial statements of the NITRO group and review of the individual accounts for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with the accounting guidelines.
• Guide local finance managers and senior accountants in IFRS accounting, technical, and reporting matters.
• Guide the business controllers during the business planning process on IFRS topics.
• Provide the management with solutions in reporting matters.
• Drive projects relevant for group consolidation and support restructuring and efficiency improvement projects.
• Provide explanations, data, and inputs to external and tax auditors and act as a primary contact for the group audit.
• Set up and maintain IFRS accounting manuals for the NITRO group and guide the implementation of the IT system for consolidation.
• Support the credit standing of NITRO by providing high quality financial information to banks, suppliers, and trading partners.
• Coach and train the finance teams in the topics of group accounting, reporting, IFRS, and deferred tax.

About you:

• University degree, Chartered Accountant or Tax Advisory degree
• 5 years of relevant experience, 3 of which in an international company
• Audit company background
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to coordinate cross-over issues from company-wide projects
• Ability and willingness to lead and influence people towards a defined goal
• Ability to prioritize and deal with multiple tasks
• Strong communicator
• Coaching and training skills
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German or French on top would be an asset
• Strong IT affinity, SAP, consolidation software skills
