Excelitas is seeking an experienced and driven Consolidation Analyst to globally and centrally support the close process. You will be responsible for close communication, tracking and reporting on the global close status, supporting close improvement initiatives, supporting intercompany reconciliation and matching and working with the group auditors.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the global financial close process including leading close status meetings, tracking close progress in BlackLine and communicating with sites on real time progress;
  • Manage the close communication process to communicate deadlines, track progress and follow up on outstanding items globally;
  • Preparation of and assistance with audit deliverables and related inquiries including preparation of additional supporting documentation;
  • Preparation of periodic corporate reporting schedules and related analysis; assistance with ad hoc corporate reporting requirements;
  • Monitor all intercompany transactions including: payables, receivables, revenue, cost of sales, investments, equity and profit in inventory transactions at the legal entity level in the US and Internationally through Central Finance and BlackLine to ensure all intercompany inventory movements, transfer pricing, cross charge and allocations are being recorded and classified correctly for elimination purposes;
  • Assist in performing management adjustment journal entries in the SAP financial reporting system.

Leadership/Interpersonal:

  • Results oriented individual who will manage deliverables to completion;
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); ability to communicate effectively with senior management and across numerous departments;
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment;
  • Independent thinker, hands-on mindset, and a detail-oriented approach to getting the work done;
  • Able to act as a change agent, identifying and supporting improvement initiatives and finding a better way to do things.

Education/Experience:

  • Four-year degree in accounting required;
  • 2-3 years previous accounting experience;
  • Previous industry experience with manufacturing businesses a plus.

Functional:

  • Understanding of financial close processes;
  • Accounting background with knowledge of US GAAP;
  • Understanding of operations, controllership, regulatory reporting and US GAAP;
  • Understanding of transactional accounting such at A/P, A/R, Payroll etc.;
  • Knowledge of auditing and Internal control;
  • Understanding of process improvement and management practices.

Technical:

  • Experience with ERP and financial close systems such as SAP and BlackLine a strong plus;
  • MS Office skills required.

This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
