Position Overview
The IT Configuration Manager will be responsible for recommending best practices, and developing CMDB lifecycle policies and practices, along with the execution, review, and improvement of the Configuration Management process. This position will design, configure, maintain, and enhance the organization’s CMDB instance and processes within ServiceNow to ensure successful end-to-end delivery of Configuration Management services.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Leads in the design and implementation of the entire Configuration Management framework, including identifying and documenting the items to be controlled and the information to be captured and recorded.
  • Develops, maintains, and implements Configuration Management process standards, plans, and procedures. Ensures changes to the process methods and processes are properly approved, communicated, and managed throughout the Configuration Management lifecycle.
  • Working with process owners, defines best practices and procedures for identification of, capturing and maintaining business value data elements within the CMDB.
  • Monitoring of all configuration management processes.
  • Ensures the proper baseline identification of configuration items, performs periodic audits.
  • Facilitates Configuration Item review and audits within ServiceNow to ensure accuracy and completeness of configuration items maintained within the CMDB (both discoverable and undiscoverable).
  • Maintains accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), assist in improving quality of data.
  • Educates asset owners of configuration management practices and procedures.
  • Provides user support and troubleshooting for issues related to configuration management.
  • Supports and facilitates auditing and reporting.
  • Develops and maintains support documentation in a central knowledge repository (ServiceNow).
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/MIS or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 4+ years of experience understanding the architecture and foundational aspects on the ServiceNow CMDB platform and management.
  • 5+ years in an information technology management role with responsibility for effective management of either direct or indirect resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time, while still being a part of a high-performance team.
  • Proficient in ServiceNow.
  • Ability to work across functional areas to drive continuous improvement.
  • Works independently with little oversight and direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes with deep knowledge Configuration Management.
  • Trainings and certifications related to CMBD and Configuration Management.
  • Experience with using the ServiceNow ITSM platform.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.

Salary Range:
$105,000.00 - $168,000.00
The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements of the applicable plans.
