Overview

SCCI is seeking a successful candidate to provide Configuration and Data Management support to a Rapid Acquisition Program. A successful candidate will bring strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to support current processes and process improvement. This position is on-site and located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities include:

• Track and communicate plans, schedules, status and concerns related to hardware configuration management (CM)
• Assist with maintaining engineering drawings. Prepare technical data packages and associated files, within the assigned Product Data Management vault
• Prepare, post, and track hardware file deliveries and associated documentation
• Participate in CM review and quality control of documentation
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure rigorous tracking of hardware versioning. Interface across multiple functional areas (engineering, test, safety, etc.)
• Apply knowledge of CM best practices to ensure all tasks and deliveries/builds are conducted in accordance with documented procedures
• Participate in meetings related to process improvement, hardware development and tracking, CM planning, and configuration control boards
• Maintain effective customer relationships, and adapt to changing technologies, processes and organizational requirements
• Apply knowledge of acquisition life-cycle processes

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be a U.S. CITIZEN and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
• Five (5) years of full-time professional experience supporting configuration or data management (or equivalent function) for a DOD or similar, large-scale system
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
• Ability to interface professionally with other government, contractor, and military organizations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a group, to meet established goals and schedules
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a technical discipline, OR five (5) years of full-time professional experience working in Configuration or Database Management
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration management support
