Summary

Responsible for working with contractors/customers to record and schedule concrete deliveries throughout Bradford and surrounding counties. The role requires exceptional communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. This role acts as the primary liaison between drivers, plant manager, sales, quality control, and management. A background working in construction or transportation is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Essential Functions

  • Answer multi-line phone system and interact with customers to provide information about our products and services.
  • Proficiency entering customer order information while actively talking to contractors/customers on the phone. Accuracy while handling detailed order instructions, while maintaining a high level of customer service in frequent high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to transition between calls efficiently and professionally.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail plus the ability to multi-task, must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Complete all paperwork in its entirety and forward as applicable.
  • Provides accurate directions to jobsites to drivers over radio, or through the GPS software.
  • Advise Plant Manager of customer and employee concerns and complaints.
  • Must exercise discretion, this position requires the handling of confidential information.
  • Always represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
  • Perform multiple tasks under stressful situations while maintaining a level of professionalism.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours at the start and end of each day – depending on delivery schedules and demand for concrete.
  • Must be able to quickly adapt to changes and be capable of making decisions while under pressure.

Desired Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma and equivalent work experience

Skills:

  • Must be reliable, team oriented, exceptional communicator, patient/calm, understanding, professional, and be an independent/decision maker.
  • Must possess excellent reading (including map reading), writing and math skills.
  • Must possess exceptional phone and computer operating skills (windows applications, Microsoft office suite, Google apps.)
  • Must possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience:

  • 2 years customer service experience preferred, with similar responsibilities.
  • Construction or transportation background is desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
