Starting Wage: NEW RATE $21.10; Willing to train
Hiring Bonus: $2000
GENERAL STATMENT OF DUTIES: Under general supervision, performs work on company product in the post-casting phase in support of the manufacturing process; performs related and unrelated work as required or assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- groom, patch, grind, blast, rinse, and acid wash products to project specifications using hand and power tools
- operate required equipment
- verify quality of finished work pieces as compared to approved control samples
- assist in moving and staging product
- performs manual labor
- maintains order and housekeeping in assigned area
- performs all occupational safety and hazard procedures in conjunction with all essential duties
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
- finishing processes and their effect on the finished product
- equipment, machines and tools used in the finishing operation
- occupational hazards and proper safety precautions
Skills in:
- operating finishing machinery or equipment effectively and safely
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Employee may be exposed to:
- moving mechanical/electrical parts and equipment
- fumes or airborne particles
- vibration
- metal preservatives
- oils and greases
- loud noise
- heat/cold/wet conditions
- working above ground
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or twist; talk and hear, see and focus. The employee must regularly lift and/or move heavy objects, up to and exceeding 50 pounds.
