    JOB TITLE: COMPLIANCE OFFICER
    REPORTS TO: Superintendent
    JOB OBJECTIVE: The Compliance Coordinator will be tasked with monitoring and
    ensuring compliance with the Board’s Title IX, Anti-Discrimination,
    and Anti-Harassment policies and procedures. The Coordinator will
    serve as a District Title IX Coordinator.

    220 Days

    First day June 1, 2023 or earlier if qulaified candidate

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    I. Advances the District’s Professional Image
    Promotes the District’s mission, philosophy and vision.
    Builds internal/external partnerships that support District goals and enhances student
    learning.
    Maintains open and effective communication and serves as an informational resource
    to students, staff and community members.
    Maintains a professional appearance by dressing in proper work attire appropriate for
    the position.
    Respects personal privacy by maintaining the confidentiality of privileged
    information.

    II. Facilitates the Implementation of Management Directives
    Upholds Board policies and follows administrative guidelines and procedures.
    Analyzes data to improve school operations and assists in developing and
    implementing the District’s strategic plan.
    Assists in administering the board-approved budget for assigned areas of
    responsibility and participates in the evaluation and recommendation to purchase new
    equipment and/or services.
    Manages supplemental service contracts related to assigned programs as directed.
    Encourages program innovations. Prepares grant/foundation applications. Implements
    funded proposals and complies with mandated reporting requirements.
    Prepares and maintains accurate records and submits all required paperwork in
    accordance with applicable deadlines.
    Encourages parent organizations and promotes school-sponsored activities.

    III. Monitoring and Compliance with Board Title IX, Anti-Harassment and Anti-
    Discrimination Policies
    Coordinate and facilitate the District’s compliance with the Board’s Title IX, Anti-
    harassment and Anti-Discrimination policies and procedures.
    Oversee and/or implement the relevant investigative processes and inform
    relevant parties of their rights and obligations pursuant to the Board’s Title IX,
    Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination policies and procedures.
    Develop, implement, and coordinate educational programs and initiatives
    designed to educate and support faculty, staff, students and third-party
    stakeholders of their rights and obligations under the Board’s Title IX, Anti-
    Harassment and Anti-Discrimination policies and procedures.
    Develop and implement a case management database to organize, manage
    and track Board’s Title IX, Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination related
    matters.
    Ensure all parties receive sufficient notice of all meetings and interviews and
    are afforded appropriate due process rights including sufficient time to review
    and respond to evidence to the extent required by policy.
    Coordinate and implement interim and/or supportive measures as necessary
    to restore or preserve equal access to educational programs or activities.
    Ensure that investigative processes are completed in a fair, equitable, and
    prompt manner.
    Keeps affected parties apprised of the status of complaints and
    investigations.
    Maintain records collected throughout an investigatory process.
    Gather evidence and investigate reports and/or complaints falling within the
    purview of the Board’s Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination policies and
    procedures.
    Create comprehensive investigative reports falling within the purview of the
    Board’s Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination policies and procedures.
    Assist with drafting compliance policies and procedures as necessary to meet
    changing needs of the District.
    Promote a safe, efficient, and effective work/learning environment that
    encourages knowledge of, respect for and development of skills to engage
    with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
    Promote close working relationships with all stakeholders while keeping them
    informed about emerging issues.
    Stay current on state and federal standards by continuing education, reading
    publications and talking with peers in order to ensure a full and up-to-date
    understanding of the legal requirements and best practices related to
    compliance with Title IX and other related federal and state laws.
    Develop and maintain District-wide climate surveys to assess the District’s
    overall understanding of the Board’s Title IX, Anti-Harassment and Anti-
    Discrimination policies and procedures.
    Collect and analyze climate survey data to identify and address any patterns
    or systematic issues with respect to the District’s Title IX, Anti-Harassment
    and Anti-Discrimination policies and procedures.
    Collaborate with training team and functional department to provide
    appropriate training and develop compliance training materials to implement
    same.
    Train employees on compliance guidelines, requirements and standards.
    Performs all other related duties as assigned.

    IV. Supervises and Evaluates Staff as Directed
    Assumes responsibility for the results of duties delegated to staff.
    Participates in the evaluation of staff under their supervision, if and as directed.

    V. Pursues Growth Opportunities that Enhances Professional Performance
    Stay current on state and federal standards by continuing education, reading
    publications and talking with peers in order to ensure a full and up-to-date
    understanding of the legal requirements and best practices related to compliance with
    Title IX and other related federal and state laws.

    VI. Performs Other Specific Job-Related Duties as Directed
    Reports suspected child abuse and/or neglect to civil authorities as required by law.
    Strives to develop rapport and serve as a positive role model for students and staff.
    Assists students in understanding and embracing ethical conduct and democratic
    values.
    Upholds the Student Code of Conduct and Employee Code of Conduct while
    maintaining high expectations for behavior and performance.
    Monitor safety concerns and collaborate with stakeholders to manage and eliminate
    risk factors and behaviors.
