Summary
The Compliance Administrator is an administrative position and will be responsible for assisting HR and Labor Compliance in the performance of related duties on a professional level for the California region. This position will carry out responsibilities as outlined below with an emphasis on compliance and onboarding.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Uploading, downloading, and organizing certified payroll and labor compliance documents using LCP Tracker.
- Assist with auditing all certified payroll and labor compliance documents per project, State & Federal Prevailing Wage requirements and calculate any underpayments and/or restitution due if applicable.
- Assist with Ames DIR Uploads per project requirements.
- Assist with the timely submission of DAS 140/142 Apprentice documents.
- Assist with monthly document submissions to the project owners.
- Subcontractor / Awarding Body communication regarding certified payroll/labor compliance documents missing or in need of correction.
- Assist with clarification when there is confusion on the labor compliance / signatory agreement questions on a project.
- Prepare periodic status reports needed to release payments to subcontractors.
- Assist with Labor Law research required to identify and address any possible California State, Federal & Prevailing Wage violations.
- Assist with the new hire onboarding process for the region and ensure compliance with new hire forms.
- Coordinate required EEO documentation and reporting, pursuant to OFCCP requirements.
- Ensure HR compliance with state, county or city construction project requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education & Skills
- Experience with construction payroll, Prevailing Wage rules and regulations and DIR / Federal project requirements.
- Knowledge of California State & Federal labor laws and Union Signatory agreements.
- Experience with LCP Tracker and DIR eReporting.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Possess high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive matters and confidential situations.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat).
Working Conditions
- Office Environment – extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
