Job Detail:

Part-time: 20 hour per week

Overview

The Community Outreach Coordinator (COC) will develop relationships with service providers and community organizations to advocate for and provide education about the healthcare needs of low-income, uninsured adults in DeKalb County.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted local community outreach and education
• Coordinate with the Executive Director to create, organize, and implement a plan for community outreach
• Develop, monitor, and report measurable outcomes to the Executive Director
• Coordinate community outreach events for the Physicians’ Care Clinic volunteers
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners

Qualifications

• High School education or higher
• 2 years or more experience as an outreach coordinator, working with non-profit community organizations or in public health
• Ability to prioritize duties and multi-task
• Able to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to track and analyze data
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, loyalty, enthusiasm, and commitment
• Efficient with Microsoft Office products required
• Travel required
• Dedication to and understanding of the mission that includes a passion for improving the lives of beneficiaries

Physical Demands

• Manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and auditory acuity
• Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling and carrying
• Quantitative/mathematical ability
