Provides encouragement, advocacy, and support to veterans and their families.
Assists veterans and their families in connecting with various services and essential resources in the
Greater Cincinnati area to meet their specific needs and improve their circumstances.
Serves as a representative of Easterseals Redwood Military & Veteran Services at various community
outreach events maximizing our reach and connection in the community, highlighting the organization as
the premier provider of veteran services in our area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages all routine requests and administrative follow-up of Community OneSource activity including answering calls and emails from veterans and their family members, initiating intake procedures, and entering information into the database.

Determines veteran resource requirements and barriers by completing detailed intake and assessments.
Identifies appropriate resources for clients, researching new resources and maintaining resource database.
Performs client follow up at appropriate intervals as necessary.
Maintains Community OneSource intake/case files and resource files.
Keeps Director informed of day to day operations
Understands and endorses Easter Seals TriState’s mission and values
Supports and works with team members by conducting business ethically and with integrity; demonstrates respect for fellow colleagues; shows dedication to improving quality and is committed to customer service.
Attends prearranged meetings or represents the Community OneSource program at community fairs as requested.
Attends meetings and training as required by Manager, supervisor or agency.
Maintains confidentiality of individual files and other sensitive subject matter.
Works varied assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required to meet workload demands.
Performs client follow up at appropriate intervals as necessary.

Knowledge of: of military and veterans services, benefits, and service organizations, basic management principles; behavior management techniques; CPR and First Aid; intervention strategies; emotional, mental and physical disabilities; nursing delegation; vocational and habilitation programming; computer software, applications and programs.
Ability to: develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, associates, general public and supervisors; maintain and promote good public relations; apply basic management principles; maintain confidentiality of sensitive subject matter; handle multiple tasks and prioritize work exhibit flexibility in work schedule and job tasks; develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors and general public; maintain confidentiality of sensitive subject matter; to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work. Ability to travel.
Skill in: verbal and written communication skills; preparing reports; organizational skills; operating general office equipment; planning scheduling and organizing work; problem solving; computer applications and spreadsheets such as Microsoft Office Suite

QUALIFICATIONS
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent of 2 to 3 years of work experience with case management, appropriate resource referrals. A basic understanding of mental health conditions and complex social issues, in addition to the understanding of and, adherence to the NASW code of ethics which guides on how to appropriately work with people addressing socioeconomic issues. Helpful in an understanding of trauma informed care.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when necessary.
Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
Ability to meet background check requirements and supply required documentation as outlined by Easterseals Redwood policies.
