The Town of Berthoud is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader for its next Director of Development Services. As rapidly growing community situated in the heart of Colorado’s north front range, Berthoud offers the next Director the chance to maximize their skills and experience as they help the Town Administrator and Town Board shape the community into its exciting future vision. With a recently approved award winning Comprehensive Plan, significant development code updates completed, and other long-range plans currently underway, this new opportunity will give the next Director a chance to leave a lasting positive legacy in this great community. This position is a key part of the Town Administrator’s Executive Leadership Team and is the primary Staff liaison to the Planning Commission. It also provides highly-responsible and independent leadership to the Planning, Building, and Engineering divisions of the Town and requires an ability to balance the importance of new development that enhances the Town, while preserving the historic small-town character that residents have come to love.

JOB SUMMARY
The Community Development Director plans, directs, manages, and oversees the activities and operations of the Department including all Town planning, development engineering, building safety, and development code enforcement. Provides highly-responsible and complex support to the Town Administrator, Town Board, and Planning Commission.
