JOB DESCRIPTION EXPECTATIONS
TITLE: Community Development Coordinator
STATUS: Full-time
REPORTS TO: District Manager and Collection Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development, implementation and growth of Donation Box Deployment, Community Clothing Drives and Alliances to increase community awareness and improve our clothing donation program.
- Participate with District Manager, Collection Manager and Store Manager(s) to identify and follow up on site opportunities.
- Responsible for all aspects of the bin program including obtaining permission for placement, working with office coordinating the physical movement of bins, developing maintenance schedules, reviewing results of current bin yields and adjusting placements, when necessary, and continual growth of the bin collection methods.
- Develop, implement and maintain ongoing relations with site hosts, community alliances, charity partners and other nonprofits for collection operations.
- The ability to cold-call both in person and by phone with businesses and nonprofits to develop relationships and increase clothing collections.
- Placements are expected to produce a minimum 750lbs./month within 90 days of placement
- Box placements must be within approved Demographic Map areas
- Responsible for maintaining, or exceeding, established performance metrics related to bin placements, partnerships and alliances.
- After hours presentations / meetings required.
- Travel required out of market 50% of time
- Responsible for filling out daily activity report containing list of contacts and results of those contacts
- Responsible to provide weekly recap of results for compensation requirements
- Other Duties as Assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Offer is contingent on candidate passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, extensive background check, signing a non-compete and non-disclosure as well as meeting our MVR standards.
- You will be required to carry personal auto insurance equal to the minimum requirements for the state of Tennessee
- You will be required to install a GPS device in your vehicle to be activated only during company hours
- You will need to be certified as a notary
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum 24 months in Sales/Public Relations, Marketing, Account Management positions.
