The Digital Transformation Center (DTC) supports Veterans Affairs (VA) with onboarding and maintaining enterprise SaaS and PaaS solutions used to support the mission of serving our Veterans and their associated stakeholders. We are digitizing information and processes for improved implementation, leveraging modern tools and low code/no code for reusability and faster delivery.
Responsibilities...
- Support the daily cross-functional documentation readiness of VA’s various platforms.
- Technical Writing and Communication guidance in support of the Salesforce, Pega, Mulesoft and other platforms Center of Excellence.
- Understands software engineers and their pain points and motivations.
- You have experience writing easy-to-read help, UI text, and guides, as well as creating self-paced training, videos, and other user assistance for enterprise business applications.
- Integrate with release management, architecture, compliance, digital assurance, and sustainment teams to capture policies and procedure changes to share with the broader community.
- Collaborate with system integrator development teams to capture and incorporate stakeholder feedback for continuous process improvement.
- Evaluate new releases and applications, participate in plans for their implementation, and remain current with platform Center of Excellence team policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to best understand their needs for communication, pain points, and motivations.
- Organize technical content in a manner that is clear and easy to digest by the diverse set of program personas.
- Perform regular audits to ensure documentation is up to date with the latest people, process, and technology
Requirements...
- Bachelor’s Degree OR a minimum of 4 years equivalent work experience.
- 3 + years of experience in an enterprise-level environment, preferably in a technical writer capacity
- Knowledge of Salesforce
- Understanding of knowledge management best practices for organizing documentation
- Basic understanding of Confluence and JIRA.
- Must be able to use a computer.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form.
- Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.
Years of Experience: 3+ years of technical writing experience in an enterprise-level environment.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline required, OR a minimum of 4 years equivalent work experience.
Location: Remote within the United States.
Clearance: Ability to obtain government clearance.
