COMMUNICATIONS LEAD

IMT Insurance is looking to fill the role of Communications Lead, working within our Marketing department. As a Communications Lead, you will lead internal and external communication functions of IMT Insurance, working closely with the Marketing team and the Leadership teams as well as departments across the company. A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Promote a positive brand image by leading the writing, preparation and delivery of information about the organization.
  • Responsible for strategic development and oversight of agency/mutual and policyholder communications.
  • Responsible for strategic development and oversight of internal communications, including developing, implementing, and managing the communications.
  • Create strategies and tactics using an appropriate mix of channels (print, video, social, web, email, etc.) to support business goals and strengthen brand awareness.
  • Lead the internal Communication Task Force, which is responsible for upholding best practices, identifying potential communication risks and opportunities, as well as planning, preparing and executing internal and external communications.
  • Managing employee Intranet including overseeing the content, authority and system functionality to be an effective communication channel.
  • Maintain and enhance the Corporate Communication Plan as needed in response to results and metrics.
  • Collaborate with business units to strategize and create content for effective communication collateral.
  • Research topics for blog posts, newsletters, etc., manage creation and selection of photography and other images used in communications, and guide internal content authors. Establish timelines, monitor progress and resolve delays and issues relating to communication schedule.
  • Work with Marketing team to develop and write content for advertising, promotional and other materials to enhance IMT’s brand, product offerings and service messaging.
  • Support leadership with communication needs.
  • Engage with colleagues to understand information needs during crisis and provide relevant and timely updates to ensure cross function alignment and collaboration.
  • Stay abreast of marketing and communication trends as they pertain to the insurance industry, as well as B2B marketing.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in related field and 6-8+ years of experience is needed to perform daily functions.
  • Insurance industry experience preferred, not required
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a proven ability to create unique and compelling content.
  • Must possess a deep understanding of goal-oriented, branded content-style publishing.
  • Versatile writer/editor committed to understanding audiences and how content serves IMT’s goals.
  • Strong project management through excellent organizational, problem-solving, time management and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, and general knowledge of Internet applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology in identifying appropriate communication tools/platforms and/or distribution system.

The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $99,000.00

Starting salary will depend on level of experience.
