Position Description: OneJustice is hiring a full time Development and Communications Associate or Coordinator to join our Development & Communications (DevCom) team. The key responsibilities of the position will be to support fundraising and development initiatives through grant support, CRM management, donor relations, communications, coordinating fundraising events, and general administrative support. The Associate or Coordinator will also engage in strategic communications planning and implementation to showcase the work of the programmatic teams and the progress of our stakeholders.
This position will report to our Development and Communications Director and will primarily be a remote position, but will need to be in California. This position is well-suited for someone who is interested in nonprofit/private sector partnerships, nonprofit management and civil legal aid for low-income communities, and someone who hopes to gain exceptional work experience in an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive work environment. We will encourage and actively support the person hired to develop transferable skills in relevant areas of interest (e.g. project management, equity & inclusion, IT/web development, data analytics, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide logistical and administrative support on our development and communications initiatives.
- Assist in development of marketing and outreach strategy and materials.
- Administrative support for our convenings, both virtual and in-person, of pro bono partners, funders, and/or legal service providers.
- Oversee website and social media updates, event registration, letter, and e-newsletter communications to external partners.
- Occasional travel within California may be required
Qualifications:
- BA/BS, Associate’s Degree, or at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- The ability to concurrently manage, prioritize, and complete multiple projects
- The ability to communicate professionally with a diverse audience
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous legal nonprofit experience is a plus
Salary & Benefits:
- Starting salary and title (Program Associate or Program Coordinator) depends on the level of experience and ranges from $52,500 - $54,500 (Development Associate) and $58,500 - $62,500 (Development Coordinator, 2 or more years of post-undergraduate experience or equivalent).
