SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
This position will provide support for both external and internal communications across the organization. It is the responsibility of the IT Communication Specialist to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position. The IT Communication Specialist is responsible for the completion of day-to-day functions and accountabilities within IT Process Delivery team. Responsibilities may vary depending on assignment but primarily include accountabilities in the following areas: IT Communication development and execution. This position must be able to create communication, as well as establish and execute communication planning and delivery to various areas within the organization. The IT Communications Specialist requires technical writing experience, and the candidate must be able to take information provided in technical terms and form engaging communications that are easy to understand for the targeted audience. The IT Communications Specialist will utilize several different communication channels including IT Communications, Corporate Communications, IT Newsletter, Viva, and The Source (ServiceNow, and should be comfortable with creating and/ or planning written, as well as other forms of communication like video or internal social media.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Plan and execute effective and creative communication strategies that are clear for the targeted audiences.
- Create content that is user friendly for our teams within the organization to understand how to navigate tools that the organization offers
- Work with the Sr IT Communications Coordinator to create and deliver engaging and informative periodic information in the IT Newsletter.
- Work with IT Teams to create and publish KB Articles that are user friendly across the organization.
- Support and manage the 3 IT KB sites for Information Technology
- Establish effective relationships with Technology personnel, program and project managers, and other business partners.

- Serve as a resource for change enablement by embracing change and championing new ideas/opportunities.
- Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team.
- Facilitate cross departmental meetings effectively with prepared agendas and clear next steps to move toward implementation, completion, or resolution of projects or issues.
- Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with trends/development and regulatory changes which may affect documentation or processes. Develop awareness of South State Bank Technology services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools, and techniques which can contribute to better analysis.

- Advanced knowledge MS Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and SharePoint

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
- Experience: 3-4 years of experience in working professional environment, and Information Technology preferred, or other IT related areas. 2-3 years Writing & Marketing Experience required
- Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Information Technology, Data Analysis, Advanced Knowledge of MS Office Tools

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is in an open lobby area with an individual workstation. This position is in a cubicle environment that may be loud throughout the day. This position is in a private office. The position is located inside an cooled and heated facility with ability to go to a break room or rest room during breaks.
