The ideal person for this role is a problem solver with excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic office environment. This position is for a technical-oriented individual who is focused on adding value to our company and employees
**This position will be based out of our Palatine, IL office or our Elk Grove Village, IL office. Applicants must reside within the area and be willing to commute to jobsites in both locations.**
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Travel to all job sites for quality control inspections and report on findings, including travel for out-of-state inspections as needed.
- Monitor operational procedures such as commercial solar installation best practices, and electrical installation, maintain high safety practices and standards, excellence in quality control, employee rule compliance, outside developer compliance, and local jurisdiction codes.
- Build off and own existing inspection report template for use on all projects.
- Communicate with installation teams as needed regarding quality control and servicing via email, phone, and text messaging
- Perform duties as a remote or on-site technical consultant to overcome installation issues and customer questions
- Work closely with project managers, lead installers, and electricians to provide advice, assistance, or additional materials
- Execute service tasks independently or with team members as needed as part of a greater service team when needed.
- Follow company and OSHA safety procedures
- Operate in a professional manner on each job site
- Miscellaneous errands included but are not limited to vehicle maintenance, warehouse organization, office upgrades, etc.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years of electrical experience (preferred)
- 1-3 years of solar installation experience (strongly preferred)
COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, OneDrive, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
- A team player who has the drive to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license due to daily travel
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks
- Desire to be proactive in a rapidly evolving company
Pay range for this role is $25.00-$30.00 an hour, depending on experience.
