Qualifications and requirements - Experienced and inexperienced individuals are needed! The following qualifications are required in order to receive the clearance into any high-security facility:

• Pass anextensive background check (need very clean BG, speeding / traffic tickets excluded) including providing several references. Investigations from previous jobs and criminal charges may also be performed
• Pass an initial 9-panel drug screen and complete regular, random 5-panel drug tests
• Be in good physical condition and be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures year round
• Ability to use/learn to use power tools and other roofing equipment
• Attention to detail and good communication skills
• Reading comprehension skills are required to receive clearance into the facilities; paid online and in-person courses are taken over the course of a week prior to official start date and must be passed with an 80% or above in order to receive your badge
• Have a good positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow
• Is able to follow instructions given from superintendent and/or foreman
• Is able to commute if required (travel expenses and hotel costs would be covered, as well as carpooling opportunities)
• Drivers License
• U.S. Citizen or holds a current U.S. work visa

We are currently stationed in Huntersville, NC at McGuire Nuclear Station likely for the next few years, however travel opportunities may arrive in place in Hartsville, SC, Southport, NC, York, SC and possibly more locations, in which case perdiem and travel expenses will be provided. We are hoping our new candidates are also open for these other traveling opportunities.

Schedule

Our working hours are Monday-Thursday 6:30 AM - 4:30PM (yes, it's 4-day, 40-hour work week with Fridays off!) with an hour lunch in between. Fridays / Overtime (a time and a half hourly pay) may be necessary when bad weather or other unpredicted circumstances may occur. Usually opportunity for overtime is always available, but not required.

If candidate is hired, they will have to undergo a 1-week paid training course in Kings Mountain, NC prior to official start date. Candidate MUST pass several proctored tests during this time in order to get badged to enter the contracted facilities. The candidate will need to closely communicate with the Project Coordinator during this time.

Starting pay is typically $20/hr. A candidate with roofing experience or proves him/herself with hard work within the first few weeks will be greatly compensated in their hourly rate after evaluation of skills.
