Job Description:
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Prepare and plan the machining operations of CNC controlled machines using computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- User knowledge of GibbsCAM and Solidworks CAD software.
- Competency in mill, lathe, wire edm machining techniques and fixturing solutions.
- Skills required include experience in programming CNC machines, knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance, blueprint reading, industrial math, precision gages.
- Use G and M codes to calculate programs, edits and make recommendations to engineering.
- Including selection of proper tooling, sequence of operation and layout of all maching steps.
- Ad-hoc projects as needed
- Must work full time and in-person at the Machine Solutions facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
Four to ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Minimal time will be spent standing and walking and lots of time will be spent sitting, using hands to handle or touch, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. Minimal time will be spent lifting weight up to 10 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Minimal time will be spent working near moving mechanical parts, near fumes or airborne particles, and near toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is expected to be loud; working near machines involved with metal machining in a machine shop.
