2nd Shift CNC Machinist

We are seeking a seasoned CNC Setup Operator to provide technical support, guidance, and leadership to our Production team within various CNC cells (work areas.)

Setup Operators within the CNC Department are responsible for successfully (safely and timely) changing over from one specification/part/EDI to another. The CNC Setup Operator will also be responsible for Setup Operator Training, Adjusting Programs, own Quality across the department, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Changing fixtures, tools, programs
• Step through program, adjust as needed to ensure part meets spec
• Quality during set up but additional checks at specified frequency to ensure quality standards are being met throughout shift.
• Train on loading/unloading parts, quality checks, and when to escalate issues
• Proficiently use calibers required
• Read blueprint drawing and be able to measure the part to ensure it meets drawing specifications
• Experience running CNC’s, HAAS CNC’s preferably, CNC mills required
• All other duties, tasks, and project work as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Formal technical CNC training, HAAS preferably, strongly preferred.
• Prior experience running CNC’s, HAAS CNC’s preferably, CNC mills required
• Experience with quality measurements, prior experience using calibers, required
• Ability to read blueprint drawing and be able to measure the part to ensure it meets drawing specifications
• Familiar with making program adjustments based on materials etc., adjust tool offsets
• Ability to write G code and M code within Esprit preferred.
• Prior Forklift experience, preferred
• Proven ability to lead, direct, and train, required
