Position Summary
This position will oversee recruitment, data collection, and patient follow-up for the coordination of Head & Neck oncology clinical research studies within the Office of Clinical Translational Research (OCTR) at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Clinical Research Coordinator will collaborate with oncology staff, Principal Investigators and OCTR colleagues to meet recruitment goals and facilitate compliant research procedures per GCP guidelines. Responsible for administering informed consent, HIPAA, questionnaires, coordinating biospecimen collection, accurately collecting and entering data into databases, preparing and submitting regulatory documents, and assisting with other administrative duties as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Knowledge of GCP and ICH Guidelines
Strong written and verbal communication
Skill and facility with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Patient contact experience, experience collecting data and entering and managing data sets; medical chart review experience preferred; biospecimen-based research experience preferred; decision-making, and the ability to collaborate also preferred, database maintenance and creation experience preferred
