BUSINESS UNIT: MSO of PR, LLC
DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy
POSITION: Clinical Practice Consultant
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Serves as primary liaison between Physicians and the MSO for the purposes of increasing the performance of contract providers, including the management of budgets, and maintaining quality for every patient.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Face to Face visits to providers in order to provide guidance for expected performance Facilitate and promote communication interaction between Primary Care and Specialized Physicians. Perform analysis, identify opportunities and develop action plan to improve overall provider performance to be presented in IPA’s and Performance Partnership and Enhancement (PPE) meetings. Develop a territory analysis every six months with goals, measurable strategies and objectives to reduce PMPM drug cost. Translate strategies into interventions with providers. Develop a prioritized monthly portfolio of visits and ensure interventions are executed in a timely manner. Routinely identify IPA opportunities per drug prescribed and develop/modify business plans accordingly. Anticipate change and take proactive measures to address. Support of the IPA, as well as the IPA network to comply with regulatory standards, identifying areas of opportunity and implementing Pharmacy strategies for performance improvement. Assist the Clinical Programs Director in IPA/PCP meetings. Work directly with MMM’s Pharmacy department to achieve corporate goals. Continually educate self on latest information related to medications, treatments and the changing business environment. Other duties as delegated by the Pharmacy Network Manager or the Clinical programs Director.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business Administration.
- Minimiun of five (5) years in Pharmaceutical Industry or Academic Detailing programs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for both internal and external communications in both English and Spanish
- Broad based background in health care, medical management and Pharmaceutical Drugs
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpet general Physician’s Budget data
- Ability to write reports
- Ability to effectively present and explain information and respond to questions from Physicians and/or groups of managers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to fully understand financial information such as Financial Statements and Cost Reports.
REASONING ABILITY
Abbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form.
GENERAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Customer Service Skills: practicing, valuing and supporting service to both internal and external customers. Time Management Skills: establishing priorities and accomplishing tasks in a timely maner. Team Work: ability to work in a team environment to create solutions to problems Computer Skills: proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Complete knowledge in Microsoft Office- Outlook World. Excellent written and verbal communications skills in both English and Spanish. Ability to work indepently. Strong analitycal and problem solving skills. Able to construct strategies for Phisycians. Project Managent Skills.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS
The responsabilities of this position requires interactions with the MCO, VP of Finanze, Pharmacy Department Of MMM/PMC and other members of the MSO Executive Management Team to report findings and/or clear and doubts.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
While working the employee in sitting, walking, talking and listening. This position may require weight to be lifted or force to be exerted up to 15 pound.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
While working the employee is exposed to a general office environment and outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally will be required to do internal traveling and regularly it will be required to work weekends. The noise in the working environment is moderate.
